We arrived around 9.30 pm to set up the activities for the investigation. The team for the evening was myself (Karen), Jason R, Siân.S, Sandie,
Syreeta, Marina, & Tina, and David was our guest team member. Our guests were members of the Empire staff and their family &
friends, and were all ready and waiting with excited anticipation, wondering what they were going to experience during the evening.
For most of the time we remained as one large group, only splitting into two smaller groups twice during certain activities.
As is our policy we started off with a grounding & protection routine and a safety walk to point out potential hazards, fire exits etc,
for those who didn`t know the building ( With thanks to Dai for helping with this.)

After a short break we split into two groups, my group stayed in the Bingo hall for various individual activities such as Angel Boards,
Pendulums, Dowsing Rods, Planchette and Mirror Scrying, and Jason`s group went into the Slot Machines area where they took part in
Table Tipping. The individual activities were very successful, several extremely meaningful messages from various loved ones and guides
came through- leaving undenyable evidence and comfort to the guests as to the existance of spirit, and their loved ones still being around them.
One group on the Angel Board did get a message that wasn`t clear to them, but when they asked me to take a look I immediately
understood and accepted the message, which simply said " K O LUSH DAL ". I explained that my initials are K.O, and that my family had
recently lost our beloved Dalmatian and that many people when meeting him said he was "Lush", it was just confirmation for me that he
is admired just as much in the spirit world as he was here in life! During this time Siân & David walked around taking photographs &
video`s and trying to link in to spirit. They encountered a spirit being on the stairs down to the Snooker room, who wasn`t very keen
on them descending into his domain. They nic-named him "The Bouncer" due to the energy they felt around him. I felt maybe it was
due to Siân being a young female, who in earlier times would not have been allowed into the room, rather than anything negative. It was also
felt he may date back to when the room was used as a dance hall previously. They also encountered the presence of several energies thought
to be of elderly ladies innocently out to play Bingo! Marina took a short video clip and in it there is a fabulous moving blue orb/light and bright
flash of white light. We are currently trying to get the video to work on the computer, for some strange reason it will only work on her camera
and converts itself to sound only on computers! The Table Tipping went well, although there was no significant movement the tables were
felt to vibrate and energise, trying to move, and going by the laughter and singing from the group it appeared they all had great fun
throughout the activity despite no specific movement!

Another short break followed then we all went down to the Snooker room for a midnight Sčance, quite surprised that was the time already!
We all stood around what is reported to be the most spiritually active table and linked hands. The coloured Snooker balls had been placed
on their respective spots as trigger objects in the hope they would get moved. I led the Sčance and asked for spirit to come forward
and communicate, touch someone, alter temperature/energy in the room, show lights or shadows, provide sounds or smells etc, as evidence
to those in the room. We then took it in turns introducing ourselves and asking individually for some spiritual evidence before standing in
silence for a while. During our time in the Snooker room several people did notice temperature/energy changes, movement, sounds, lights,
shadows, and smells. Some people felt someone touching them or had other feelings & sensations, and three people also said they saw the
blue ball moving very slightly on it`s spot when they looked at it! On occasions our mediums received names and messages from their guides,
some of which were accepted by people around the table. In all it was a very interesting and productive Sčance session!

After another refreshment break we had some group photo`s done (Guests and Team) before splitting back up into our two smaller groups.
This time Jason`s group did the individual activities in the Bingo hall and my group did the Table Tipping in the Slot Machines area.
Once again the individual activities proved very popular and people got some wonderful communication from spirit. The tables again
were felt to vibrate, energise and try to respond, but it was decided they were too heavy to actually move, especially on carpet.
Instead it was decided on using a chair. After a short while of asking spirit to move it the chair began to tip up and back down again
several times in response to encouragement, laughter and singing songs such as "Bingo" and "She`ll be coming round the mountain"!
Siân video`d some of this activity and moving orbs/lights are present at quite specific timing in the session, video`s will be published soon!
Marina took some photo`s in the Slot Machines area, in one photo is a strange mist that hadn`t been visible to the physical eye!

We then stopped for refreshment before all going down into the main foyer for our last activity. Small groups of 2 - 3 people
were sent off one group at a time into various parts of the building with one team member and a two way radio. The people in the foyer
then called out for spirit to affect the people in the group or show themselves in some way, the team member to radio back if/when
anything happened to see if it coincided with requests from the foyer. On several occasions it provided some very interesting results!

Before we knew it the evening was over and it was time to clear away all the equipment and activities. One final thing remained
to be done first, to check the "Trigger Object" which had been set up in a locked off area before the event started. A knife had been
placed in the kitchen on a piece of paper, drawn around and left with movement sensors and the room locked & out of bounds.
Sadly there had been no change to the knife position, but it`s likely the spirits in the building were having too much fun joining in the
other activities than to go and move a knife no-one was watching, and it had been an amazing night anyway!

The team and myself would like to thank all the staff members and guests for allowing us access into the Empire and for being such great company.
